A few autumn/winter purchases!
I’ve kind of become a little obsessed with finding supermarket clothing bargains since my gorgeous asda tartan rucksack, so since this I have been scouring the Internet to find more that fit right in with the upcoming autumn and winter trends. I know after my splurges that I won’t be able to afford much this winter so what better than to stock up now, very exciting! Naturally after asda I stopped over at tesco, motel rocks and new look because once I start I simply can’t stop myself!
Second stop at asda this month and they didn’t disappoint! I was presented with so many tartan opportunities I thought I was going to explode with excitement. I finally decided to settle on a gorgeous pair of tartan leggings for 12 pounds, I’m usually a 6 but getting an 8 was the perfect decision. I always worry about the dreaded crotch camel situation… And these are so comfy, soft and warm- the best leggings I’ve ever purchased I think, so I hope they wash up well as they are going to be worn a hell of a lot! The boots paired with them are gorgeous 30 pound babies from new look. They are so grungey and gorgeous. I’m in love with the monochrome trend, and adore the edgy white chunky heel and boot bottoms. I seriously hope they don’t get wrecked as they are gorgeous, they fit so comfortably and still give height. Think they look so perfect with the leggings, like a total 90′s reject! I especially love for the purpose of home the lace bralet from new look. I couldn’t drag myself away from this purchase as since the gorgeous emergence of them in urban outfitters I have been obsessed with these comfy, feminine beauty’s! I also threw in a snood from new look as I usually go for black, so cream is such a cute warm addition, especially when I’m going all grunge..
Since my disappointment of ordering the wrong size boyfriend jeans in topshop I just couldn’t not get any. I was tempted, and so close but so far! Luckily on tesco they had some gorgeous 16 pound frayed boyfriend jeans. The size 6 was very true to size and fitted perfectly, and I’m absolutely in love with them! Makes a lovely change from my sausages in skin tight Leigh jeans, which probably really weren’t meant for my pear shape! I think boyfriend jeans really are flattering, and slim most shapes and sizes. Somehow adding the small heels takes masculinity to boy meets girl and I think it’s a really cute casual, shopping chic look!
Next is the outfit I have been dying to buy for months. Seeing gorgeous crops and two pieces on etsy for over 60 pounds and simply not being able to afford it. USA to UK postage really takes the biscuit when I’ve sent a dress for 3-4 pounds there… So I’m baffled! Luckily this baby came to less than 40 pounds from motel rocks and I cannot wait to wear my tortoiseshell stud h&m sunglasses and platform boots with them! I’m not entirely brave and might end up wearing them with a maxi skirt, or my plain black crop but that’s because I do get a tad shy and take any looks or comments to heart… Motel rocks is my obsession at the moment, but I’ve been trying to shop around for all my clothes- checking prices and prints as I go.
Last but not least I really snapped up some stunning and fantastic price pieces from asos that can be mixed and matched and kept through every season! My favourite is a stunning blazer for twenty pounds from the petite collection. It’s great quality fabric and I love the print. It can be worn with cigarette trousers for a smart look, or with the strappy plain dress I purchased for a more casual look. The belt is beautiful, and as you may have noticed I wore it last night for a cheap 8 pounds. I was chuffed that I could actually pick the size as despite being curvy my waist 23 inch so I find it hard to find a belt that fits, and this one did! The best bargain has to be a bag that’s under 5 pounds from new look at asos.. Gorgeous, unusual winged mini handbag! Perfect work piece I think.
